About Ammar
Ammar Bozoglu (Deventer, 1997) is a Dutch folk singer who grew up in the Het Rode Dorp neighbourhood, shaped by the music of André Hazes and Django Wagner. A video of him singing a Hazes song in his cousin's kebab shop went viral on Dumpert in 2020 and changed his life. Fellow Deventer native Snelle signed him to his label Lieve Jongens. His debut single 'Terug Naar Vroeger' appeared in 2022, followed by the hit 'De Laatste' with Snelle. He has performed with De Toppers, at Concert at Sea and Zwarte Cross, and received two Edison nominations.
