About Mike Appelhof
Mike Appelhof, who grew up in Zwolle and returned there after a spell in Amsterdam, began his musical journey spontaneously in a Dutch-language café in Zwolle, where he unexpectedly was handed the microphone and sang Wesly Bronkhorst's 'Als Jij Had Gedacht'. That moment grew into a serious passion. He has since released original singles such as 'Lekker', 'Mega' and 'Niet Naar Huis', made with collaborators including Lars Koehoorn and Bart Goris. In 2026 he gave his own concert at Hedon Zwolle, with guest appearances from Xander de Buisonjé and Quido van de Graaf, among others.
