About Starkoo
Starkoo is a Dutch party act founded in the late 1990s to combine Dutch-language dance music with show and entertainment: a singer/entertainer backed by two dancers. Founder and frontman Marco (born 1968 in Amersfoort) previously worked for years as a singer at café Bolle Jan and the Après-skihut Rotterdam. From 2001, Starkoo scored hits such as 'Laat me nu toch niet alleen', 'Een nacht alleen' and 'Zo ver weg', and the act was three times named best party artist in the Netherlands. Starkoo performed for years at Austrian ski resorts and the Spanish summer scene; since 2023 Roy Moonen has been the new lead singer.
