About Theo Claessens
Theo Claessens is a singer from Maastricht who performs carnival and love songs in the Limburgish dialect, such as 'Iech wel neet zoonder diech leve'. He started out in a choir that sang traditional Maastricht songs, and first took the stage in 2009 during an artists' trip. In 2014 he won the Cover LVK award with 'De nuije rijaloet'. With 'Dreij daog vastelaovend' he reached the semi-finals of the Limburg Carnival Song Contest (LVK) in 2016 and 2017, and again in 2019 with 'Wie gek wèlste ut höbbe'. His records are released on the label Pebble Music.
